How safe is iOS 10 for your iPhone and / or iPad?

Buying an iPhone, an iPad or an iPod Touch means accessing one of the most secure software in the world. Although we are also facing one of the most closed operating systems on the market.

Be that as it may, it has always been said that iOS security is way above security on Android and other mobile operating systems. When it comes to protecting the privacy of users, Apple and its iOS are unreachable.

IOS 10

If there is one thing known to Apple is to fortify your devices against any attack, even if it costs you to leave behind some other function.

However, the fact that iOS is such a tight and secure operating system does not prevent your iPhone and / or iPad from being hacked ...

In this article we will take a walk through the most outstanding security features of iOS 10 and will mention some tips to make your device a little more secure.

Data Encryption

IOS 10

At the epicenter of device security with iOS 10 is data encryption. A feature that will protect your private data from falling into unwanted hands.

Apple provides three different ways to encrypt iOS 10 data: password, PIN code and Touch ID. With iOS 10.3.1 Apple introduced two-factor authentication, a feature designed to protect the device against any hacking attack.

Anti-Malware

IOS 10

The iPhone and iPad, despite the rumors, are NOT immune to malware. They are as vulnerable as any other Android device. Well, maybe not so much. But iOS 10 comes with anti-malware security layers and constant updates reduce the risk of malware infection in vulnerabilities.

Search for my iPhone

Search for my iPhone iOS 10

The Search My iPhone feature has been present on Apple devices since 2009. This feature uses iCloud cloud services to remotely access your stolen or lost iPhone, thus allowing users to locate the terminal on a map.

These have been the three most interesting features related to the security of iOS 10. No doubt, one of the best protected mobile operating systems in the world. What do you think about the security of iOS 10? Do you think it has many vulnerabilities?

Just like you have 16GB 32GB than 128GB on your iPhone, in the end probably what will occupy you most are going to be the photos and videos. Although iOS is quite well organized both by albums that come by default and by using chronological order in Moments, the reality is that when you treasure more than two thousand photos, searching for a particular one is difficult in any way.

And is that every time we make a photograph, it is stored on the reel and we can also access it through Momentos, being classified according to the date it was taken. In iOS 10 the folders that are added by default in Photos are: Favorites, People, Places, Videos, Autofotos, Live Photos, Panoramas, Bursts, Captures, Portraits - if you have iPhone 7 Plus - and Deleted ... if you do not see any of those Folders, it will be because for example you have not made a photo that iOS 10 classifies as such. Even so, remember that you can create your own albums.

But with all this, when you have a huge amount of photos, you will continue to find it difficult to find her. That's why Apple has implemented a useful smart search function. Following the intelligence that you use to identify photos of people or places, in iOS 10 you can search for a word in the purest style tag or "tag" and your device will give you all the possible options.

But let's see how it works. Suppose for example we look for the word "sea" to find a beautiful sunset over the Bay of Biscay. At that moment, the app returns the photos in which it estimates that something related to the "sea" appears: photos in which the sea appears, the selfies with our friend Mar, a folder titled "Holidays at sea" . In this way, the search is much faster, easier and more effective.
